One Day in Sarajevo

Film stills

On the 28th of June 1914 a student Gavrilo Princip shoots dead Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The death of the heir forever changes the history of the world. In 2014 the people in Sarajevo are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War. The takes recorded with the mobile phones and home cameras show us the city as an open space and silently ask how the history lessons are affecting our consciousness and memory.
