It is 1992 and Lithuania has shifted from communism to capitalism, leaving the small collective pig farm managed by Irena, in dire straits. Irena struggles to keep the farm and her workers afloat when a handsome American, Bernardas, arrives, pledging to save the struggling enterprise and turns Irena‘s family life and the village’s routine upside-down. As Irena begins to fall for his charms, she realizes that his intentions may not be entirely innocent...

Eglė Vertelytė

After gaining a bachelor's degree in History from Vilnius University, Egle Vertelyte continued her studies at the European Film College in Denmark. In 2009 Egle moved to Mongolia where she filmed her first internationally acclaimed feature length documentary "UB lama". In 2012 Egle completed MA of Screenwriting at National Film and Television school in UK. Together with producer Lukas Trimonis they have founded a company iN SCRiPT, which is developing and consulting narrative driven projects for TV, fiction and documentary films. Egle also works as a writer for several TV shows, collaborates with other directors and teaches art of screenwriting in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
