The aristocratic sisters Charlotte and Caroline both fall in love with the controversial young writer and hothead Friedrich Schiller. Defying the conventions of their time, the sisters decide to share their love with Schiller. What begins playfully, almost as a game among the three of them, soon turns serious as it leads to the end of a pact...

Dominik Graf

Dominik Graf was born in 1952 in Munich. After studying German and musical sciences, he studied directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich from 1974 to 1979 and received the Bavarian Film Award for his graduation film The Valued Guest (1979). In 1988, he received a German Film Award for his thriller The Cat. His film Gamblers was shown at Venice in 1990. He has since made around fifty films for television and cinema. He is a regular guest to the Berlinale where the premieres of his successful feature films A Map of the Heart  (2001), The Red Cockatoo (2005), Don’t Follow Me Around (2011) took place.
