The documentary picks up the fears and neuroses of Lars von Trier, a offspring of the modern Scandinavian film generation. He describes his Jewish parents as "radical members of the middle class" who allowed him to achieve freedom and add a particle "von" between his name and surname. Among his many exceptional attitudes is the description of a woman as "difficult to understand ... like a swan". The mysterious Dane gets the most bizarre descriptions - from a genius to a madman or a solid coward who likes to handle slippers.
