In Damascus, a mother of three is trying to keep together her family life whilst outside a war is raging. The apartment has become a sort of bunker where every day is just a struggle to survive until tomorrow. The tensions reach their boiling point when two men break into the apartment and becomes locked in the kitchen but one woman.

Philippe Van Leeuw

Philippe Van Leeuw studied at the INSAS film school in Brussels and then moved to Los Angeles to study cinematography at the American Film Institute. His first feature film as a cinematographer was "The Life of Jesus" by Bruno Dumont in 1997. "Insyriated" is his second film as a director.
